Description
Pachacamac Valley & Singletracks
This private tour starts by picking you up at your own hotel in the Miraflores district. After a one-hour trip, we will reach our starting point.
This is a great tour for mountain biking enthusiasts, as we have discovered routes available for each skill level, by dirt roads and trails along the coastal Sacred Valley. Our routes pass near archeological sites, such as Pampa Flores, Cardal, Tambo Inga, or Pueblo Viejo - sites on the road that pilgrims used to take on their way from the Andes to the temple of the Pachacamac god.
Between July and September, during the coastal winter, the area known as ‘lomas’ (hills) changes thoroughly because of the constant humidity, and becomes a field full of greenery where nature shows off its splendor.
Our three levels are:
BASIC LEVEL: The valley route takes us around pre-Incan sites: Pampa Flores, Cardal and/or Tambo Inga. It takes place mostly on dirt roads, and can be done by anyone who practices some physical activity and likes the outdoors.
ACTIVE LEVEL (Intermediate): The route grows longer or increases in difficulty, including more diversity of micro-ecosystems on the way, among them the ‘lomas’ area on technical trails.
SPORT LEVEL (Expert): Requires more skill and fitness, as this route takes us climbing and downhilling by singletracks trails – except between July and September, where, due to constant humidity or rain, the terrain does not allow the use of such trails.
