Two Days Tour

The "Two Days Tour" is a good challenge for medium-level bikers, for the location of the paths and their characteristics. The most of these locations are on hilly terrain, dry in summer and slightly more humid during the autumn and winter, but always good to be rode throughout the year.
The trail of Ficuzza has a more "alpine" approach, in terms of tracks' style, variations of rythm and landscape too, while in "Lake Trails" the track runs in a flat way around the lake and then it brings up to the surrounding hills.

Both tracks are biker friendly, so they are waiting for you.

Ficuzza Wood
At about 45km from Palermo, the forest reserve of Ficuzza wood is a great place for mountain biking, with several paths and trails, each one with degrees of difficulty. The scenery is amazing, with start and return to the former royal building.
This is the first part of our "Two days Tour", and the itinerary runs along the route of the former railway, which will bring us at the maximun height of 968m and for a total length of 20km.
The most of the tracks are easy dirt roads and doubletracks with a few technical sections.
Anyway, during the good season, is possible to also explore the small singletracks that connect the main roads.

Lake Trail
The second part of the "Two Days Tour" is a location in the vicinity of the town of Caccamo, about 50km from Palermo.
Almost all on dirt roads with an initial transfer of asphalt, the path starts at an altitude of 390m and along the lake Rosamarina, rises to 540m, near the hermitage of San Felice, then it climbs to a height of within 848m of the reserve area of Pizzo Cane, Pizzo Trigna and Grotta Mazzamuto.
A fast descent on a dirt road, which runs along the mountain, back to low altitude on the asphalt road. This is a medium level route, for bikers with a medium level of training, and is spread over 15km in total. The fun is guaranteed, as well as the view.
