CUSTOMIZE? - Yes, we can detail this itin for your group and combine it with other Chile and Argentina programs that we offer.
Your route takes you from the mountainous heights of the Southern Andes above Pucón to the wave-tossed Pacific shoreline and the coastal city of Valdivia, one of Chile's most charming cities.
Our educational staff and step-on speakers will introduce you to the history, geography, and significance of the Lakes District, of Chile, its mountains, lakes, forests, creatures, cultures, and its peoples.
We offer this trek only once per year to correspond with the dates of Valdivia’s famous German festivals. Valdivia is the heart of Chile’s German-influenced southern region.
THE AUTHENTIC EXPERIENCE: It is becoming harder and harder to find the ‘authentic experience’, to see places for themselves and not in comparison with the brochure pictures. The lands we choose to take you will be out of the ordinary and your experiences there authentic, important, and novel to the extreme. These will be experiences that are uniquely your own.
OUR WANDERLAND BIKE TRIPS: Wanderland.org, ‘On Wheels’ – We are a company that has sprouted directly from seeds planted by extensive bicycle touring by our founders. These are the bike tours that we know will provide you a very authentic and engaging field experience. LOOK FOR MORE Wanderland bike-based field courses at www.wanderlandtravel.org/programs/bike-treks.php.
