Description
There is not a more efficient way to see Washington, DC than on my bike tour of the city. Yes, we hit the main monuments, where we discuss their history and the controversy surrounding each and every one of them. Plus, interesting stories about DC itself, how it was founded, how the areas we consider so cool today where either swamps of slums, and what is in store for the current city - politics, the Government, and more!
After we visit the core, including sections of Arlington Cemetery (Iwo Jima, Tomb of the Unknonws, Lee House) we then go up Rock Creek to the Zoo (designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, the same landscape architect that did NYS's Central Park and return through Georgetown on the Capital Crescent Trail. Perhaps a ride across the Potomac to National Airport and then to Maryland and the National Harbor.
