Description
8 days and nights of wild and wonderful adventures on the north-west coast of Scotland.
Starting on the edge of Scotland's largest city, Glasgow, where we follow the Clyde out of the city towards Loch Lomand National Park. Here is a place of rolling hills in the south changing into high mountains in the north, and full of lochs, rivers, forests and woodlands, including Loch Lomand itself.
he final part of the tour sees us island hopping around the most north-western part of The UK, in The Outer Hebrides, those islands lying on the edge of The Atlantic ocean. Each island stunningly beautiful and different in its own right. Golden beaches that you would think not possible to have in this part of the workd, mountains fringing the east coast and full of lochs, bays and coves. Barra, South Uist, Benbecula, North Uist, Harris and Lewis are the islands we pass through on the final part of this journey, through a region steeped in gaelic heritage, with its own flora and fauna including Golden and White-tailed Eagles soaring overhead.
This tour includes all ferry rides; Oban to Castlebay, where whale watching boats ply their trade, and short hops across from Barra to South Uist and North Uist to Harris. As with all of our tours, a maximum of 12 cyclists per tour, so early booking is essential to avoid disappointment.
