Description
Just what is glamping? Glamorous Camping is a new phenomenon sweeping across Europe and the rest of the world. Many people are put off by the idea of roughing it at the thought of bugs, wild animals, sudden storms, leaking tents, smelly sleeping bags and dodgy food. For many, their first camping experience often becomes their last. But thanks to a few wealthy entertainers and prima dona models insisting at outdoor events that if they have to camp, they at least want all the usual luxuries, a new idea was born. Adventure tour operators latched on to the idea and began catering to the needs of those who wanted an outdoor experience, with all the comforts of the indoors. And Glamping was born!
In Bled, we can offer you your very own glamping experience in Camping Bled, on the western shore of the lake. Wooden camping huts are a special new feature of the campsite, which offer a more relaxed and comfortable camping experience. The huts are located on an elevated natural terrace, surrounded by greenery yet in the immediate vicinity of Lake Bled. They are built of first-quality unprocessed larch wood and covered with larch shingles. Each hut has two beds with mattresses, blankets and pillows made of natural materials. The huts provide comfortable accommodation in all weather conditions and at all times of the year, thanks to good insulation. They are ideal for couples who seek intimacy and privacy, as well as for families who can rent two adjacent huts, one for parents, one for children.
Glamping accommodation can easily be combined with outdoor activities like cycling and hiking.

Defined by its distinctive island church and towering alpine mountain backdrop, all guarded by the imposing clifftop castle, Bled is one of Slovenia’s most popular tourist attractions. Visit the island church and marvel at the ornate golden altar and ring the church bell and make a wish, it might come true.
TOUR A: BLED - SIGHTSEEING (15 km).
A leisurely day around Lake Bled for your first day. Cycle around the lake and up to the castle, then hire a rowing boat or be rowed out in style in a traditional Pletna boat, to the island church. For the best photos and views of the lake, castle and Karawanke range, head up to Osojnica.
TOUR B: BLED – BODEŠCE – KROPA – RADOVLJICA - BLED (34 km).
As the sunlight floods over Lake Bled, you'll be cycling 750 m up to the Jelovica High Plateau for a lovely view into the Triglav National Park. You can stop at Slovenia's foremost blacksmith town, Kropa and visit the iron forging museum. You can even learn how to make your own nail. After this it is heading off to the beautifully preserved old town of Radovljica with its interesting beekeeping museum and even better - nice ice cream shop...
TOUR C: BLED – BEGUNJE – BLED (41 km).
Today you'll head out to the home of Slavko Avsenik, a legendary Slovenian Folk musician, in the sunny village of Begunje. Have lunch at his restaurant, Avsenik Gostilna. After lunch you can visit the museum of hostages and the ruins of
Kamen Castle. In the afternoon you will pass Brezje Basilica, an important religious site and pilgrimage destination of many Slovene people.

Today's trip will take you to the beautiful Vintgar Gorge, carved 150 m deep into the mountains by the Radovna River and ending with the Sum Waterfall. Then it's on to the less-visited Pokljuka Gorge, carved 10.000 years ago at the eastern edge of the plateau. Here you can leave your bike and take a stroll through ancient woods and a fossilized ravine left behind by the retreating glacier.
