Biking Plus “luxury cycling tours” grew out of our passion for cycling, culture, architecture, history, beer, gastronomy, nature, … in short, for all the Belgian traditions. Biking Plus Belgium means: enjoying a luxurious holiday on and off your bike following the route of the classic Belgian road race “The Tour of Flanders”.
Flanders Bike Tour Program: $1,785
We’ll start by picking you up in Brussels at the tourist info center. We take you to the first hotel in Oudenaarde. A luxurious hotel the cycling city of the Tour of Flanders. You will receive a detailed information package with all directions and tickets to various sights and museums along the way. On day 1, you can make a short trip in the afternoon and defy some slopes of the Tour of Flanders.
On day 2, you can visit the the Tour of Flanders Centre. In the museum, you will discover the legendary stories of the cycling heroes who have conquered the bumpy hills of Flanders. Our route along canals and rivers takes you to the beating heart of the Tour of Flanders. You will try out your legs on the cobbled hills in the local area, the Kwaremont and the Koppenberg, before heading for Kortrijk. Over the next few days, you will set off for Ypres, Bruges and Ghent.
In each of the lovely art towns and cities you can visit several museums and sights for free. The tickets are included in the price of this Flanders bike tour. Along the way, you can taste the delicious Belgian beers and chocolates in the local pubs and pastry shops. You can enjoy the great Flemish cuisine, good old Belgian mussels and chips and the most scrumptious desserts. You’ll tour through the gorgeous hilly area of the Ghent-Wevelgem classic and climb the Rodeberg and Kemmelberg. You will be able to visit some of the sites that bear witness to the insanity of the First World War. In Ieper, there’s a trip to the heartrending museum “In Flanders Fields”. In Bruges and Ghent, you will be immersed in the history of Flanders. The City Card enables you to visit different museums an sights for free. A tip: the Bruges canals are breathtaking at nightfall. The last day we will meet in Ghent and will bring you back to Brussels. Or you can choose to extend your holiday in Ghent.
Throughout the whole tour, you will cycle ± 60 km daily. A car will be standing by at each hotel and bring your luggage from hotel to hotel. You will stay in 5 top hotels located in the center of the art cities, 3 of which have a swimming pool and several have wellness amenities. Vitamin bars and sports drinks along the way are included every day. In the evening, you can discover some great restaurants at your leisure, or you can opt to have dinner at the hotel.
When it comes to your bike, you have nothing to worry about. Professional racing bikes, both men’s and women’s models, will be waiting for you when you arrive.
