In Novgorod you will see its ancient Kremlin, magnificent XI-century St. Sofia Cathedral and wonderful Russian Millennium Memorial. You will be surprised with the luxurious beauty of grand palaces and parks, built for Russian Tsars in St. Petersburg area. We will visit a lot of museums and exhibitions (some of them are little known). You will meet friendly village dwellers and see how Russians really live. The menu promises to give you the opportunity to taste authentic Russian food that is unlike anything you’ve tasted before. We also visit a Russian bath house ("banya").
After the tour you may return to Moscow by comfortable night train or stay longer in the north capital of Russia.
For 7 cycling days we ride 200 miles (300 km). Most roads along the route do not have heavy traffic and are covered with asphalt. On the route you can choose your own cycling pace. A car will wait for you at the appointed places along the route. Experienced guides will look after you in case of difficulties. If you are tired you can always take a car for some part of the route. Even non-riding spouses, children or friends are welcome on the tour and they can follow us with the car.
